FIRST LADY DOLL COLLECTION, SERIES III
1982 - 1984
MINT IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH TAG AND TISSUE
The First Ladies of the United States represent a social and historical cross section of our country from its beginning until today.
All of the First Ladies are dressed in period costumes that include matching satin undergarments, shoes, jewelry and hair fashions. Their costumes are much more elaborate than can be seen in pictures. The fabrics are all exquisite. All of these dolls have elaborate hair styles and their hair is perfect. These dolls have rarely been out of their boxes and are in perfect, mint condition.
MARY TODD LINCOLN, 1861-1865, married Lincoln when he was a strugling Illinois attorney. She is perhaps the most controversial figure among our First Ladies. A southerner with members of her family in both the Conferderate and Union armies, she met hostility, especially on the part of the Union supporters.
