All of the First Ladies are dressed in period costumes that include matching satin undergarments, shoes, jewelry and hair fashions. Their costumes are much more elaborate than can be seen in pictures. The fabrics are all exquisite. All of these dolls have elaborate hair styles and their hair is perfect. These dolls have rarely been out of their boxes and are in perfect, mint condition.
MARTHA JOHNSON PATTERSON, 1865-1869, An assassin's bullet summoned Andrew Johnson to take the Presidency of the United States. Mrs. Johnson, an invalid, could not assume the obligations of First Lady. It was decided that their daughter, Martha Johnson Patterson, would preside at the White House instead.
