SARAH POLK

FIRST LADY DOLL COLLECTION, SERIES II
1979 - 1981
MINT IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH signed TAG AND TISSUE
The First Ladies of the United States represent a social and historical cross section of our country from its beginning until today.
All of the First Ladies are dressed in period costumes that include matching satin undergarments, shoes, jewelry and hair fashions. Their costumes are much more elaborate than can be seen in pictures. The fabrics are all exquisite. All of these dolls have elaborate hair styles and their hair is perfect. These dolls have rarely been out of their boxes and are in perfect, mint condition.
Sarah Polk, 1845-1849, was the first First Lady to be very well educated. With a greater understanding of political issues than most of those who preceded her, she soon became more than the official White House hostess and was her husband's most trusted and valued adviser.
*** AS A BONUS, THIS DOLL'S TAG HAS BEEN SIGNED BY MADAME ALEXANDER!!!!.
